Washington Nationals Spring Break 2019

Since many local schools have their Spring Break this week, Nationals games tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday are a great opportunity to grab the family and head down to the ballpark for staycation fun!



  • No planning needed – Walk-up Grandstand Seating

o   Grandstand seating is available in sections 401 and 402 for $5 per ticket for most games.

o   Grandstand seats go on sale exclusively at Nationals Park Main Box Office each game day, two hours prior to first pitch.


  • PenFed Kids Fun Zone

o   The Nationals have a new play structure, designed especially for younger kids, off of Center Field Plaza near the Right Field Gate.

o   The new structure includes:

  • A more open concept with a triple slide and wave climb
  • Enhanced interactive installations, including a hover ring and the skywheel
  • A brand-new surface with a mini baseball diamond for kids to run and play


  • Fun New Concessions

o   While always offering traditional hot dogs and popcorn, the Nationals have added exciting new food choices

o   New concession stands include Bao Bao, CHIKO, DC Empanadas, Hank’s Oyster Bar, La Casita Pupuseria, Lobster Shack, Medium Rare, and Taco Caminando.


Tuesday, April 16

  • Jackie Robinson & Black Heritage Day

o   When the Nationals take on the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, they will join all of Major League Baseball in celebrating Jackie Robinson Day.

o   On this day throughout Major League Baseball, all players and on-field personnel will don No. 42 jerseys in honor of Robinson, as they have since 2009.

o   Videos will air throughout the game highlighting African-American baseball greats, and community members will participate in the pregame ceremony.
