Explore Summer Reading @ Prince William Public Libraries

June 19 – August 19, 2017

You’re counting down the days ‘til school’s out, and we’re getting ready for the big rush! This year’s Explore Summer Reading is even easier than last year. Here’s how it works:

Kids and young adults, register online at www.pwcgov.org/summerreading or in person beginning Monday, June 19.

Kids (infants – entering 5th grade): Pick up a Passport and get your first stamp “free.” Each time you visit the library, have your Passport stamped. At your second visit, receive a coupon for free food. At your sixth visit, receive a brand-new book to keep! Come back for up to nine stamps; each stamp is an entry into the grand prize drawing for an Asus laptop!

Young adults (entering 6th – 12th grades): Pick up a Punch Card and get your first punch “free.” Each time you visit the library have your Punch Card punched. At your second visit, receive a coupon for free food. At your sixth visit, receive more free food coupons! Come back for up to nine punches; each punch is an entry into a grand-prize drawing at our six full-service branches, plus an overall grand prize drawing for a Beats® by Dre Pill+! You can also write book reviews and post them to our Summer Reading website; each review is an extra grand prize drawing entry.

And we have summer reading for the adults, too! No need to register; come in weekly to enter a drawing for a Target gift card. One gift card will be awarded per branch every week during Explore Summer Reading.

But wait, there’s more! Come in each week of summer reading to participate in a weekly challenge for kids, young adults, or adults, and you could win additional prizes. Plus, there will be tons of fun, free events for all ages this summer, from magic, to theater, STEAM, arts and crafts, music concerts, workshops, live animals, and more. You can view our summer Explore magazine online, or pick up a copy at any branch.
