Review: Disney on Ice Presents Dare to Dream

The Dare to Dream presentation by Disney on Ice at the Eagle Bank Arena, produced by Feld Entertainment offers unbelievable props, special effects and choreography.  So unbelievable that the show actually left the ‘tomboy’ of our family awestruck at times.

After encouraging the children to get involved in the show through audience interaction, they moved on to Beauty and the Beast.  During this number, colorfully bright and cheery cakes, cupcakes and other goodies skated in simply delicious costumes with Belle, the Clock and the Candlestick – I was actually left wanting a sweet treat.  Cinderella followed Beauty and the beast with beautiful choreography that included her horse drawn carriage and amazing ice skating horse.  Tangled closed the first act with truly amazing choreography and acrobatics as the performers used a long golden ribbon that resembled Rapunzel’s hair, to fly above the ice. Personally, this was my absolute favorite number.

Act two opened with Frozen which offered an absolutely beautiful frozen castle, costumes and snow.  The children, of course, loved this number and sang along to all the songs.  Act two closed with Moana, which was exciting to watch, especially when they offered giant skating monsters, realistic costumes and real fire on the ice to represent molten lava!  Moana left me wanting to watch the movie as somehow, don’t ask me how, I have never seen it.
