Meet Ever After Alpaca Farm!

Alpacas are my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE. When “llama stuff” was all the rage I loaded up and demanded that they be referred to as alpacas in my presence. They are so cute and lovable, and they meep!

Located at 6155 Georgetown Road, Broad Run, VA 20137, Ever After Alpaca Farm offers small group visits to the farm- which is just what the doctor (literally) ordered for COVID! You can go with just your family and enjoy the outdoors! The tours are an hour long and by appointment only. They also have an online store where people can purchase wonderful alpaca products.

Heidi describes the farm as follows:

“We are a new business but have been planning for several years. We were finally up and running when Covid hit and everything was put on hold. I have a special needs daughter so I waited additional time, even after my county re-opened, to reopen the farm to the public. I was encouraged to start this business because I have a genuine love of animals, especially alpaca. We attend seminars at veterinary colleges and through various alpaca foundations so that we Screen Shot 2020-09-25 at 1.14.04 PMknow exactly how to provide the best life for these lovely creatures. Our focus is on not only on having the public come, feed, take pictures of and pet the alpaca, but also that they leave having gained some knowledge about the breed.”

If you need a little alpaca love in your life, you can email Heidi for details, or you can visit them online at

Heidi notes that her favorite part of her business is that she loves seeing families enjoy the farm:

“I love the inquisitiveness! Most kids not only soak up knowledge and ask terrific questions about the animals, but they are also playful and the alpaca recognize that. There is no better site than to see a child hugging on one of our baby alpaca! I love when families come and are so interactive and gentle with our babies(and the adults too but it is extra special with the babies!).”
