This year, perhaps more than ever, I know that I personally want to shop as local as possible. The shutdown has been hard on everyone, and I want to spend my dollars where they help my neighbors and friends the most. With that said, I did the gift guide this year very differently than I have in the past, even offering a free listing option so I could help as many small businesses as possible. Please consider spending your money this year on local entrepreneurs, business owners, regional mom-based-business and with friends, if you are able to do so.
Each of the businesses featured has contributed an item to our giveaway basket. We will have one grand prize winner pulled on December 16, and we will also have several runner up winners who will receive a Splashdown Waterpark tote and branded items including a reusable water bottle, a full-size hand sanitizer from Huntington Learning Center, and a few other fun items. Enter to win at the bottom of this post. Images used WILL NOT necessarily be what you win- there’s a full list after the contest!
Please note: we may be adding more to this list as people get their items in (it’s been a weird year- I’m trying to be flexible!) If you’d like to add your listing, let me know, we’ll make it work.
Kristen’s Print Shoppe is a locally owned, small business in Manassas. I am based on Etsy and specialize in greeting cards, holiday decor and apparel, and vinyl decals. Use code PWCMOMS at checkout for 15% off your purchase of $15 or more through Dec. 16!
Why PwcMoms loves it: First, it doesn’t get more local than someone that lives in your neighborhood! Second, I love a personalized gift- it just means so much more! Taking an inside joke and making it a gift or having a matched set for the family is absolutely going to win you Santa of the year!

Little Loving Hands provides caregivers with a fun way to teach kids about kindness in their world, their community, and their homes through subscription craft boxes. The boxes are specially designed for elementary-school kids, but fun for all ages! Most of the crafts that are completed are sent back to Little Loving Hands in an included prepaid envelope to be donated to a charity. Join us in creating kind kids!
Why PwcMoms loves it: Parents on our site are always looking for ways to introduce giving and compassion to their children. This has the added bonus of not having one more craft project taking up space in your house! A great option for grandparents or aunties/uncles who’d like to have something that is used long after Christmas!
Arbonne products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free embracing the connection between a healthier mind, a stronger body, and more beautiful skin for the entire family.
Why PwcMoms loves it: Hand and body care items are fantastic to give, but also great to have around as a just-in-case gift. (I can’t be the only one that keeps a back up present closet in case someone shows up with presents!) They work for anyone, and if you don’t need to use them, they’re great for you!

Why PwcMoms loves it: Pets are family, too!! They need loving care, and having a local go-to is a great way to know who’s caring for your pet. Gift cards make a great gift for the over-stressed pet lover in your life!
Why PwcMoms loves it: Brooksie and Cas has made an appearance in my stockings in the past, and their items are ALWAYS a hit. I especially love the hats that you can peek a ponytail or messy bun out of!
